Tal Rosen has been appointed Major Gifts Officer at Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion, effective September 29, 2020. Based in Chicago, Rosen’s area includes Cleveland, St. Louis, Detroit, Minneapolis, and Pittsburgh.
Rosen served as the Associate Dean and Director of Institutional Partnerships of the Spertus Institute of Jewish Learning and Leadership in Chicago, and, prior to that, served as Executive Director of Chicago’s historic KAM Isaiah Israel Congregation and the Hillel at Miami University, Oxford, OH.
He earned an MBA from Miami University, and completed graduate studies at Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion’s Jerusalem and Cincinnati campuses. He also holds a BA in Religion and Judaic Studies from Dickinson College, Carlisle, PA.
Rosen has extensive volunteer leadership experience at Hazon: The Jewish Lab for Sustainability, the iCenter for Israel Education, and Metro Chicago Hillel. His work has been recognized by the Slingshot Guide and Hazon. In 2015 was one of Chicago Jewish community’s 36 under 36.
