The MAT is structured as a two-semester program from late August-May. Students will take three year-long courses taught primarily online, with the potential for in-person work and gatherings.

This MAT is designed specifically as a continuation degree for those who have successfully completed the DeLeT: Day School Leadership through Teaching certificate. DeLeT is a 39-credit teaching certificate that combines 13 months of coursework with a full-year fieldwork placement in a classroom and pursuit of the Preliminary CA K-8 Multi-Subject Teaching Credential.

DeLeT alumni (and any other teachers holding preliminary credentials and working in a Jewish Day School in California) are eligible to join our induction program to work towards a permanent credential.  The induction program is separate from the DeLeT MAT, but students enrolled in the DeLeT MAT can pursue induction as part of their coursework for an additional fee.
