As the home of Reform Judaism in Israel, we prepare Israeli rabbis, cantors, educators, and pastoral counselors who are pioneering religious pluralism in the Jewish State and serving the global Jewish people. Founded in 1963 and expanded by renowned Israeli architect Moshe Safdie, our campus houses our Israeli Rabbinical Program, Rikma-Jewish Education Program, Nelson Glueck School of Biblical Archaeology, Blaustein Center for Pastoral Counseling, and the Teachers’ Lounge Program promoting tolerance.

Welcome to Jerusalem

Welcome to Jerusalem, the eternal capital of the global Jewish people, at whose heart is situated our magnificent campus. This is where HUC-JIR’s stateside rabbinical, cantorial, education, nonprofit management, and graduate students come to study, alongside our Israeli students, and deepen their sense of ahavat Yisrael (love of Israel) and mutual responsibility, finding their place in the narrative of the global Jewish people as future leaders of communities in North America, Israel, and beyond.
