The HUC-JIR Seminary Hebrew Program is an online course designed to support current and future applicants to our graduate programs develop stronger Hebrew language skills, both to meet our matriculation requirement and to strengthen the Hebrew skills which are essential for academic success. This program provides modern Hebrew language learning while exploring connections to classical sources of Jewish tradition and wisdom from which the poetry of the Hebrew language emerged. Classes are offered across multiple levels, and while tailored to the needs of prospective students, this program is also open to the public at a subsidized rate.
