Fall Semester at the NY Klau Library

Thursday, August 18, 2016

Welcome back and beruchim haba'im to the new students. We have been working throughout the summer to make improvements to the library. One of the major efforts this summer has been to prepare for a move to a new, more user friendly catalog database later this year. We will keep you posted on the transition. In addition, we continued to organize and catalog the Kiev section as well as the fabulous rare book collection. We also made progress in organizing the music collection, including archives of various cantors containing sheet music, letters and manuscripts.

Our goal for the library is to ensure that students, faculty, and scholars find the books and re-sources they need for their academic pursuits in a warm, welcoming environment that serves as the heart of the HUC-JIR community. As always, we are looking forward to assisting you and to hearing your suggestions. We wish you a wonderful and successful year. See our flyer for all the library news and services.
