Learn, grow, connect, and collaborate with the Teaching Impact Fellowship!

The Jewish educational experiences we design for our students are only as good as the teachers who deliver them and bring them to life. Investing in Jewish supplementary school teachers is important and necessary work for the future of Jewish education. Therefore, we are excited to offer our year-long fellowship for college-age Religious School teachers.

Through the Teaching Impact Fellowship, teachers will develop and deepen their teaching knowledge and skills, grow as educators and leaders, and build and strengthen their professional network.

Teaching Impact Fellows will have access to:

  • Professional learning and leadership development with world-class faculty
  • Mentorship and coaching with leading Jewish educators in the field
  • A supportive cohort of peers from around the country

FAQs

This fellowship is for college-age religious school teachers. Applicants do not need to be college students, but they need to be high school graduates and of college age, and need to be employed as a teacher at a Religious School/Jewish after-school program.

There is a two-part application process. A teacher’s supervisor nominates the teacher for the fellowship by September 1, 2023. Once a teacher has been nominated, the nomination form will be reviewed. If it is accepted, the teacher will receive an application form.

Fellows will attend 6 live online sessions throughout the year with the entire cohort, and then 8 monthly group mentoring sessions. There will also be learning videos that fellows can watch on their own time. The total time commitment will be around 20-25 hours for the entire year, in which time the teacher will gain invaluable skills, knowledge, and personal and professional growth.

Fellows will engage in premier learning and leadership development from a nationally-renowned Jewish education faculty. They will build mentoring relationships with leading educators in the field, offering them support and guidance as they navigate their teaching roles.

Fellows who complete the program will receive a stipend and a certificate of completion that can be shared on Linkedin and other social media sites and websites.
