Deborah Sachare (she/her) is the Associate Director of the Office of Recruitment & Admissions at Hebrew Union College. For over decade, she has built her career in higher education specializing in recruitment, admissions, student advising, and program management. In addition to her higher education expertise, Deborah is a conflict resolution practitioner, researcher, and teacher. Deborah holds a B.A. from Barnard College and M.S. from Columbia University. Prior to joining Hebrew Union College, she facilitated a Conflict Management and Mitigation grant through JDC-Israel from USAID West Bank/Gaza and the U.S. Embassy in Israel entitled ” A Community of Equals,” which sought to bring together individuals from areas of conflict in people-to-people reconciliation activities through the prism of disability. Deborah currently participates in research through the Morton Deutsch International Center for Cooperation and Conflict Resolution and teaches in the Negotiation & Conflict Resolution program at Columbia University.
