Bonnie Neumeier is a long time resident and community activist in Over-the-Rhine neighborhood, inner city of Cincinnati, Ohio. She is co-founder of Peaslee Neighborhood Center and three other community based organizations addressing issues of poverty, homelessness and affordable housing in Over-the-Rhine. Bonnie is a believer in the empowerment of people to take control of their lives and be a part of decisions affecting it. She is a justice seeker wanting to discover ways to integrate spirituality with leadership and community work. She acts as mentor for students participating in Miami University’s Residency Program in Over-the-Rhine. She enjoys being in diverse circles that encourage connection. She edited and wrote the forward to a small book entitled FOR AS LONG AS IT TAKES , poems and pieces of writing of Buddy Gray, an influential leader and activist in the Over-the-Rhine People’s Movement who was tragically killed in November of 1996.
