Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion mourns the loss of Edgar M. Bronfman, Sr., a defender of the Jewish people, advocate of the State of Israel, champion of Holocaust memory, and recipient of our Dr. Bernard Heller Prize. May his beloved wife Jan, his cherished brother Charles and sister Phyllis, and his dear family find comfort in his inspiring legacy.

Founded in 1875, Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion is North America's leading institution of higher Jewish education and the academic, spiritual, and professional leadership development center of Reform Judaism.
