Hebrew Union College Press is devoted to publishing the finest scholarship across the entire spectrum of Jewish Studies, ancient and modern. Authors of books and journal articles will enjoy wide distribution of their work in print-on-demand and digital media through JSTOR and ATLA Serials. We are internationally recognized for the selectivity of our publications, and all of our imprints involve a rigorous peer review process.
We publish books in any area of Jewish Studies, with special attention to historical monographs and bilingual editions that present Hebrew or Yiddish texts along with English translations. Transformations in the world of scholarly publishing also allow us to consider publishing as short books manuscripts that are too short for the traditional book and too long for the traditional journal article.
Our flagship journal, the Hebrew Union College Annual, provides a forum for original and significant contributions to scholarship in Bible, Rabbinics, Language and Literature, History, Philosophy, and Religion. HUCA is one of very few journals that welcome for consideration articles of extended length alongside briefer pieces.
