Are you interested in sharing your passion for Jewish leadership, storytelling, and community-building? Do you love creating content that inspires others and sparks meaningful conversation? The new Student Ambassadors Program is your chance to help shape how our community sees, celebrates, and shares the transformative experience of Hebrew Union College.
As an ambassador, you’ll help bring our mission to life online, highlighting student life, academics, spiritual growth, milestones, and the many ways our students are shaping the future of Jewish leadership.
As a Student Ambassador, you will:
- Capture photos and short videos of campus events, classes, student projects, life in the surrounding community, and Jewish holidays.
- Post and submit a piece of content at least twice a month (roughly every other week) to our communications team.
- Occasionally take over our Instagram Stories.
No professional social media experience is required—just enthusiasm, creativity, and a willingness to share your journey.
Our commitment to support you means that we will:
- Provide basic training in social media storytelling, photography, and video best practices.
- Provide information and access to events and opportunities.
- Feature and tag (where appropriate) ambassadors on Hebrew Union College’s social media to highlight your contributions.
Student Ambassadors are:
- Current students enrolled in one of the College’s programs.
- Active on at least one major social platform.
- Comfortable creating content—photos, videos, reels, or written posts.
- Collaborative, reliable, and excited to represent the College.

If you enjoy creating content or engaging with online communities, we’ll give you all the support and guidance you need.
Whichever one you’re most comfortable with! Hebrew Union College is active on Instagram and Facebook as well as Bluesky.
Both, but primarily your own. If there comes a time when sharing content on IG Stories makes the most sense, you’ll “take over” our IG page for that occasion. Otherwise, you’ll share content on your personal account(s) and we’ll reshare it, giving your content even more visibility within our community.
Authentic glimpses into student life: classes, spiritual life, community events, holiday celebrations, academic achievements, creative projects, etc. Something as simple as a study group getting together over dinner can be a meaningful moment that shows what Hebrew Union College is all about.
Yes. Ambassadors will receive tips on branding, storytelling, and social media best practices from our communications team.
Yes. Ambassadors will receive a stipend of $200 a semester for their participation and work.
One or two hours a month—or however long it takes you to post and share content twice a month.
