Flavia Andrade is an Associate Professor in the Department of Kinesiology and Community Health at UI. She is a Fellow at the Gerontological Society of America. She has an MA (Demography) from Federal University of Minas Gerais in Brazil, and an MS (Population Health) and a PhD (Sociology) from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Andrade has written in the areas of demography, health and social inequalities. Her current research projects focus on the health, well-being, quality of life and living arrangements in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) and among Latinos in the U.S.
