Michele RusselMichèle Russel-Capriles is a cultural historian, curator, museum leader, and visual artist based in Curaçao. .. She has led the Jewish Cultural Historical Museum (Jewish Museum Curaçao) since 2001, overseeing its collections, exhibitions, educational programs, and transition into the digital age. .. Her work centers on heritage preservation, public history, and the Jewish and Caribbean narratives of Curaçao. .. Alongside her museum practice, she maintains an active visual art practice and has held leadership roles in cultural foundations, heritage sites, and public institutions, connecting research, creativity, and community engagement.


Phyllis MeltPhyllis Meit was born and raised on Curaçao, where she attended Hebrew school and is a member of the Ashkenazi community. The curator since March 1, 2018, is now since 2025, Coordinator, Presentations & Research of Jewish Museum Curaçao. .. She has bachelor’s degrees from York University, in Spanish language and literature, and Linguistics, and a graduate diploma from the University of Ottawa in Translation. . After working in radio broadcasting in St. Maarten, she returned to Curaçao in 2017. . Jewish Museum Curaçao brings to life the Jewish experience and contribution of both Sephardic and Ashkenazi communities on Curaçao and Phyllis has done and continues to do extensive research and writing on this for the museum’s exhibits..
