Amidst national teacher shortages, local nuances influence hiring and choosing to teach. This research explored how an education leader and school stakeholders could partner to make sense of the work of teaching at one Jewish supplementary school. Photovoice was used to document the work of teaching, encourage dialogue, and inform a collaboratively constructed visual representation of a teacher’s role. The process resulted in a capacity-forward approach to recruitment materials.
