HUC-JIR Welcomes Patricia Keim as AVP of Marketing and Communications

Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion is pleased to announce the appointment of Patricia Keim as Assistant Vice President of Marketing and Communications, effective August 1, 2023.

Reporting to Jessica Silver, Chief of Staff and Vice President of Strategic Initiatives, Keim will be responsible for driving the redevelopment and implementation of the College-Institute’s brand and building and executing effective internal and external communications strategies for all HUC-JIR entities and audiences.

Keim comes to HUC-JIR most recently from the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF), where she served as Co-Director of Global Communications. In this role, she shaped the communications agenda for a leading international philanthropy with a grant portfolio of over $3.3 billion, launching their global $100 million COVID relief initiative, planning their 25th anniversary campaign, and developing their digital strategies.

Previously, Keim spent 10 years at Barnard College as Assistant Vice President of Marketing and Communications, where she spearheaded the College’s brand relaunch, built their “digital first” team, conceived and led the College-wide 125th anniversary celebration, and developed the College’s athletics communication plan. Earlier in her career, she served as VP of Marketing and Digital at New Video (now Cineverse) and as Associate Director of Marketing at Simon & Schuster Audio.

Keim earned her Bachelor’s degree in English from University of Pennsylvania and completed advanced studies in marketing and media at New York University.
