Dr. Tiffany Tatum Appointed Associate Dean of Jack H. Skirball Campus at Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion in Los Angeles

Dr. Tiffany Tatum has been appointed Associate Dean of the Jack H. Skirball Campus at Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion in Los Angeles, effective October 11, 2021.

Dr. Tatum is responsible for organizing, shaping, and enhancing the student experience; facilitating school and faculty events, including the Fall Kallah and Graduation/Ordination, and the campus calendar; collaborating on budget development; helping coordinate facilities utilization; and promoting a collegial, inclusive culture on campus for students, faculty, and staff. She serves on the Skirball Campus’s Executive Committee on Academic and Student Affairs (ECASA) and Executive Committee on Operations (ECO), and collaborates with the Global Director of Human Resources on all Title IX, DEI, and ADA concerns.

Dr. Joshua Holo, Dean, stated, “Our Skirball Campus has much to gain from Dr. Tatum’s expertise and talents in her leadership role in campus life and administration, as she strengthens our learning community of students, faculty, and staff.”

Educated at HUC-JIR’s partner institution, the University of Southern California (USC), where she earned her MSW in 2009, Dr. Tatum continued her studies culminating in a Psy.D. in 2014, and she pursued Leverage Diversity & Inclusion for Organizational Excellence Certification at Stanford Business School in April 2021. She has been a leader in higher education, as an Assistant Dean and most recently as an External Field Instructor in USC and Community Career Development. Dr. Tatum has also committed herself to her civic and professional communities, making a point of serving on and leading national and local boards.
