A Message from the Alumni Association by Michael Graves, Ph.D., Chair, PSGS Alumni Association

Michael Graves

The PSGS Alumni Association sends its greetings to alumni and all members of the HUC–JIR community. Alumni of the Pines School remain concerned for the wellbeing of the Graduate School, its students, faculty, and staff. We hope that the current academic program assessment process will result in a strong future for the Pines School of Graduate Studies.

In terms of broader HUC–JIR alumni activity, the Alumni Leadership Council is discussing plans to restructure how alumni engagement is organized in relation to the different schools. This may result in closer relationships between the different alumni associations. More information will be shared when it becomes available.

There are several ways that PSGS alumni can support the Graduate School and current students. Three key areas of need are:

(1) The PSGS scholarship fund. There is still need of funds for stipends, and alumni participation in giving to the Graduate School scholarship fund is extremely helpful.

(2) Professional workshops. PSGS would like to offer professional workshops remotely for current graduate students. Alumni who are interested in delivering a remote workshop should contact Autumn Wheeler at awheeler@huc.edu.

(3) Student mentoring. We are looking for alumni who would like to serve as mentors for current students. All those interested can communicate their interest to me at michael.graves@wheaton.edu.

Lastly, we are still compiling a bibliography of PSGS alumni publications. A link to the publications we have received so far can be found here. For those who have not yet submitted a bibliography of their published works or who want to update their bibliography, please send your bibliography to Dr. Hélène Dallaire at helenedallaire@denverseminary.edu.
