Introduction by Dr. Wendy Zierler

Dr. Wendy Zierler was the moving force and wrote the Introduction to “To Speak Her Heart” — a compilation of prayers and poems, drawn from the biblical Hannah, 17th-18th century tkhines (supplications written by women that addressed personal feminine concerns), and contemporary writers, to represent a wide range of Jewish women’s voices and concerns as expressed in the form of a plea of request — illustrated by artists Leslie Golomb and Barbara Broff Goldman.
