Doctor of Philosophy in Judaic, Hebraic, and Cognate Studies

Students receive a full scholarship and stipend for the residency part of their program (three years) and then are charged a reduced tuition charge for the dissertation phase currently $400 a year.

  • May 9, 2025 – Exit Interviews to be completed by graduating students who have taken out student loans during their residency at the Hebrew Union College
  • June 4, 2025 – Loan Paperwork due for students taking out student loans in the summer term
  • July 1, 2025 – Loan Paperwork due for students taking out student loans in the YII program

Loan Disbursements

  • June 13, 2025 Virtual Pathway Rabbinical Program – Summer Semester
  • July 3, 2025 – DeLeT and Zelikow School – Summer Semester
  • July 13, 2025 – YII Program – Summer Semester
  • August 8, 2025 – Loan Paperwork due for students taking out student loans – Returning students.
  • September 5, 2025– All Programs – Fall Semester (except YII)
