Join us in building the future of Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion

The HUC-JIR 1875 Society was created to recognize and thank alumni, family, and friends who have made a bequest or planned gift to the College-Institute. By becoming a member of the 1875 Society, you join the company of many who have helped to provide for generations of students and scholars to come. Most importantly, you will be making an invaluable contribution to securing the future for HUC-JIR.

Making a difference

Bequests and other planned gifts have a profound and lasting impact on scholarship, teaching, and research at HUC-JIR and are a continuing source of strength and support for the College-Institute.

Members of the 1875 Society have endowed faculty chairs and scholarships, expanded the resources of HUC-JIR’s great museums and libraries, helped to sustain innovative programs, created fellowships, and made possible a variety of facilities initiatives. You may choose a particular area of interest to support or allow your gift to fund key priorities determined by the College-Institute’s leadership.

However you choose to support HUC-JIR, your membership in the 1875 Society will serve as an inspiration to all who share your vision for HUC-JIR's future.
