Tal Rosen

Tal Rosen serves as a Major Gifts Officer at Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion. Based in Chicago, he specifically works with a number of communities in the Midwest including Cleveland, St. Louis, Detroit, Minneapolis, and Pittsburgh.

Prior to joining the Institutional Advancement team, Tal served as the Associate Dean and Director of Institutional Partnerships of the Spertus Institute of Jewish Learning and Leadership in Chicago, and prior to that, served as Executive Director of Chicago’s historic KAM Isaiah Israel Congregation and the Hillel at Miami University, Oxford, OH. 

He earned an M.B.A. from Miami University, and completed graduate studies at Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion’s Jerusalem and Cincinnati campuses. He also holds a B.A. in Religion and Judaic Studies from Dickinson College in Carlisle, PA.

Tal has extensive volunteer leadership experience at Hazon: The Jewish Lab for Sustainability, the iCenter for Israel Education, and Metro Chicago Hillel. His work has been recognized by the Slingshot Guide and Hazon. In 2015 he was one of Chicago Jewish community’s “36 under 36”.
