Rachel Singer aims to foster a greater engagement with Israel beyond the classroom and encourage opportunities for students to explore and chart their own authentic relationship with the history and present realities of Israel. Rachel recently returned to Jerusalem after over half a decade in New York City, where she served as the Associate Director of the Park Avenue Synagogue Congregational School.

Previously, she worked with the Israel Antiquities Authority, the Israel Nature and Parks Authority, and the European Union Designing Safer Urban Spaces project in Israel. She holds graduate degrees in Urban Design from the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design as well as the Conservation of Material Culture from Haifa University and has a B.A. in Geography, Planning, and Environment from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

Rachel lives in Jerusalem with her spouse, Moshe Samuels, their child, Alma Ruth, and dog, Margol.
