Dr. Goldman is Professor Emeritus, Israel and Ida Bettan Professor of Midrash and Homiletics, Professor of Rabbinics, and Editor of the Hebrew Union College Annual at HUC-JIR/Cincinnati. He attended Harvard College and Hebrew University in Jerusalem. Dr. Goldman received rabbinical ordination from HUC-JIR in 1969, where he also earned his Ph.D. in 1974. His specialty is rabbinic literature, primarily Talmud and Midrash.
