Daniel Kirzane

Rabbi Daniel Kirzane was elected to the Board of Governors of Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion at its meeting on June 26, 2022.

Rabbi Kirzane is the Associate Rabbi of Oak Park Temple in Oak Park, IL, and serves as Chair of HUC-JIR’s Alumni Leadership Council, representing over 4,000 active alumni of the seminary and institution of Jewish higher education of the Reform Movement.

Ordained by HUC-JIR in 2014, he has previously served The Temple, Congregation B’nai Jehudah in Overland Park, KS, and Congregation Beth Haverim Shir Shalom, in Mahwah, NJ.

Rabbi Kirzane is a member of the Wexner Graduate Fellowship Coordinating Committee and the HUC-JIR Rabbinical School Alumni Council and Alumni Leadership Council. He is also an active member of T’ruah: The Rabbinic Call for Human Rights. Rabbi Kirzane sustains an active interest in scholarship, education, and community-building.
