Private Health Insurance

Private health insurance is available in Israel for students and families not insured through the Student Health Services. Policies generally cover full hospitalization up to $50,000, office visits to private, approved physicians; x-ray and laboratory tests; medications (up to $200) and personal accident insurance. Payment is between $1.00 and $1.95 a day. In the past, students have purchased health insurance with the following companies:

Personal Accident Insurance

It is strongly recommended that all students carry personal accident insurance during their year in Israel. Though policies may differ, personal accident insurance generally includes disability and life insurance. Thus, during the time that you are hospitalized, you will receive money to support yourself as well as disability payments for the time you spend recovering at home.
