Jacob Lesniewski is an Assistant Professor at Dominican University’s Graduate School of Social Work and one of the leaders of the West Side Collaborative. Dr. Lesniewski’s academic and professional expertise is in the areas of organizing and advocacy for low-wage immigrant workers and families. He research and advocacy work focus on the problem of wage theft and the attempts of low-wage workers, their organizations, and advocates work to re-regulate the labor market. He has worked as worker center organizer, serves on the board of a number of community development agencies in Chicago, and gives leadership to Dominican University’s civic and community engagement efforts. He received his MSW and PhD from the University of Chicago.
