Dr. Dana Harley is a national award winning social work educator. She has been recognized by the Council on Social Work Education for exemplary teaching practices and her use of innovative strategies in the classroom. Dr. Harley has over a decade of psychotherapy experience with children, adolescents, and families. Dr. Harley’s rich clinical experience informs her teaching and research. She has served as principal investigator or co-investigator on over $1.7 million is funded grants. Dr. Harley is known for her use of culturally competent approaches to exploring needs of marginalized populations. Dr. Harley is one of the few social work researchers in the country that utilizes photovoice research methodology. Dr. Harley is a Licensed Independent Social Worker –Supervisor with the State of Ohio. She is the recipient of numerous awards for her teaching, research and service to the community. Dr. Harley has presented her research at national conferences and published in academic journals.
