PWR 2016 Featured Speaker - Oscar Bedolla

Oscar Bedolla was appointed Director of the City of Cincinnati’s Department of Community and Economic Development on November 24, 2014. Mr. Bedolla leads a team of more than 75 employees dedicated to improving the economy and neighborhoods of Cincinnati. The Department of Community and Economic Development has a capital and operating budget of $50 million. The Department of Community and Economic Development oversees all of the downtown and neighborhood economic development projects, muIti-family and single family housing, property maintenance code enforcement, human services, community council and neighborhood business district funding and public parking.

Mr. Bedolla has over ten years of experience in economic development working in both public and private markets in the areas of real estate, municipal finance and project finance. Prior to joining the City , Mr. Bedolla served as Vice President of KPMG Corporate Finance LLC in New York City, a Portfolio Manager for the United States Department of Transportation’s (USDOT) Transportation Infrastructure Finance and Innovation Act (TIFIA) Credit program, and a Public Real Estate Manager with the Federal Highway Administration for the District of Columbia, Maryland and Delaware.

Mr. Bedolla received a dual Master’s Degree of International Public Policy from Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) and a Master’s in Real Estate Development from Carey Business School at Johns Hopkins University. His undergraduate degree is a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Hampton University
