Croll Center for Jewish Learning and Culture

Main Content

The  Irma L. and Abram S. Croll Center for Jewish Learning and Culture at HUC-JIR/New York provides a dynamic bridge between the seminary and the larger world as a catalyst for Jewish learning and culture.

Leading guest scholars and HUC-JIR faculty present their research in Jewish texts, history, philosophy, and literature through public lectures, symposia, and other programs, which are disseminated globally on the HUC-JIR website. Recognizing that the visual arts are an important forum for the exploration of Jewish heritage, values, and history, the Croll Center also supports the HUC-JIR Museum’s exhibitions and related public programs.

The Croll Center was established in 2004 by a generous gift from the Irma L. and Abram S. Croll Charitable Trust and its trustees to sustain the Crolls’ values and devotion to Jewish education and the arts.
