(The University of Florida) What about the top private college Jewish students choose? (New York University) With the publication of the "RJ Insiders Guide to College," Jewish students will now be able to know where to find a Jewish home away from home. The first such compilation, the guide appears in the Fall 2006 issue of Reform Judaism magazine, the world's largest circulated Jewish magazine, and was published in partnership with Hillel: The Foundation for Jewish Campus Life and the Union for Reform Judaism's KESHER College Department. Created for high school and college students, the guide's centerfold documents colleges by Jewish population - the top 30 private and top 30 public North American school Jews choose. It also includes expert information on getting into top universities, why it is important to choose a Jewish-friendly school, finding Jewish-related scholarships and loans, and making the best of the college experience. "This is a valuable resource for student and parents," says Lisa David, director of the Union's KESHER College Department. "While there are countless magazines and guides on the perfect college experience, there was no time-sensitive annual magazine or guide for Jewish students interested in a Jewish college experience." The guide can be used in conjunction with the annual US News & World Report college edition. While the US News & World Report ranks colleges by a range of educational criteria, the two page chart in the "RJ Insider's Guide" offers the first-ever ranking by popularity and provides bonus information on Hillel's presence on campus, Jewish fraternities and sororities on campus, credit for study in Israel, Jewish studies programs, and more about each of the 60 top schools. The "RJ Insider's Guide to COLLEGE" is now available online with extra features including a Jewish Survival Kit and a Jewish college activist's first-person experience at www.reformjudaismmag.org.
