 Nancy Lewitt Appointed Coordinator of Student Services at HUC-JIR/Jerusalem Nancy Lewitt has been appointed Coordinator of Student Services at HUC-JIR/Jerusalem, succeeding Rose Ginosar. She grew up in Winnipeg, Canada, and in 1974, after a year of studies at the University of Manitoba, she decided to spend a year and a half experiencing kibbutz life in Israel. She fell in love with the country and made Israel her home 31 years ago. She completed her undergraduate studies at Hebrew University, after which she spent twelve years in Human Resources Management, and ten years working for Ramah Programs in Israel. In joining the HUC-JIR community, Lewitt says, "I look forward to the challenges of my new position and hope to contribute in assisting the HUC students so that their year will be academically challenging, spiritually fulfilling and a positive Israel experience." Rose Ginosar has served for 15 years as Director of Student Welfare. She will remain with HUC-JIR in a part-time capacity, teaching on the Israel Seminar staff and on Wednesdays for the Year in Israel Program. |
