Join us in opening our eyes and ears to our own internationally recognized Jewish scholars as they share with us their newest works and their cutting edge research. We will hear from distinguished professors, pioneers in Jewish history, leaders of Jewish religious thought, and experts on the cantorial arts and pastoral care, to name a few. Prepare yourself to be inundated with thoughtful insight and experience new and exciting knowledge from a breadth of fields. Highlights of the discussion include topics ranging from taking a deeper look at the meaning of Judaism, to a close up of modern day rituals, to exploring spirituality and contemporary theology, to reexamining contemporary ethics, and reinterpreting sacred texts, to journeying into the lives of Jewish women writers in czarist Russia to listening to Jewish prayer through the art of song.

The featured speakers include:

  • Dr. Carole Balin, Associate Professor of Jewish History on To Reveal Our Hearts: Jewish Women Writers in Czarist Russia
  • Dr. Eugene Borowitz, Sigmund Falk Distinguished Professor of Education and Jewish Religious Thought on Studies in the Meaning of Judaism and Jewish Moral Values
  • Dr. Martin Cohen, Professor of Jewish History on The Canonization of a Myth
  • Dr. Norman Cohen, Professor of Midrash on Hineini in Our Lives
