Rebirth After the Holocaust: The Bergen-Belsen Displaced Persons Camp, 1945-1950
Josef Rosensaft, Chairman of the Central Committee of Liberated Jews in the British Zone of Germany and Chairman of the Jewish Committee that governed the Bergen-Belsen Displaced Persons Camp, addressing the Second Congress of Liberated Jews in the British Zone in 1947, which urged the British to 'open up the gates of Palestine' and advocated for the rights of the survivors to immigrate to Eretz Israel.
