HUC-JIR is on the road! Our Recruitment and Admissions Staff will be meeting with prospective students all summer. If you know someone who has expressed interest in learning more about one of HUC-JIR’s programs, or if you know someone who you think would make a great student, let us know!
We will be in ISRAEL! Rabbi Rachel Sabath Beit-Halachmi, Ph.D., is hard at work to ensure our summer recruitment in Israel doesn’t miss a beat. Israel welcomes bus-loads of wide-eyed Jewish youth to tour the country and soak up the wonder of their own Judaism. HUC-JIR is an integral part of the URJ Kesher Birthright Trips this year making a stop at our Jerusalem campus for some dialogue and education about liberal Judaism and all the options that await them after their special experience. We will make appearances and presentations to the many MASA programs in Israel, and alumni attending the Alumni Shabbat in Israel (July 6) will be sure to be reminded of their important role in recruitment.
We will be at CONFERENCES! Conferences gather Jews of like-minds and interests to make meaning of their lives at work and home. Faculty, staff and students of HUC-JIR will also be there as presenters and participants.
We will be at CAMP! Camp is a top priority for our summer recruitment efforts. Camp welcomes staff members, specialists and campers to their outdoor adventures of finding their footing, friends, and the courage to explore their own ideologies. Representatives from HUC-JIR will again be visiting all URJ Camps, select other residential Jewish camps and day camps all across North America to present the opportunities for learning and fulfilling careers for their life-after-camp. If you will be at any of these camps, please let the team member know!
