Kenneth Gilman was inducted onto the Board of Governors of Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion (HUC-JIR) at its meeting on June 25 in New York.
Rabbi David Ellenson, HUC-JIR President, stated, “We are honored to welcome Kenneth Gilman, a distinguished business leader of the New York community. His expertise and guidance will serve as a great source of assistance to the College-Institute. We look forward to his partnership in our shared mission to strengthen Reform Judaism and secure the Jewish future.”
Gilman is retired, but serves as a member of the Board of Directors for two public companies. He is a trustee of the Manhattan Institute and serves on the Board of the Jewish Center of the Hamptons. He is a member of HUC-JIR’s Eastern Region Board of Overseers. Interested in Jewish text study and American history, he is a member of Congregation Rodeph Sholom in New York City. He and his wife Carol Feinberg are the parents of three children, Jordana, Herbie, and Emma.
