Gala Tribute Concert in Honor of Bonia Shur

A gala tribute concert was held at Plum Street Temple in Cincinnati to honor the body of work Bonia Shur, HUC-JIR Director Emeritus of Liturgical Arts.  The concert featured dozens of cantors from across North America, along with a choir of students from the HUC-JIR/Cincinnati rabbinical school and University of Cincinnati College Conservatory (CCM) and 30 members of the Executive Board of the American Conference of Cantors.  The event served as a moment to offer Bonia a kol hakavod on his lifetime’s work of tremendous achievement.
