Gary L. Greenberg Inducted : onto Board of Governors of : Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion

Gary L. Greenberg, a prominent attorney and communal leader of Cincinnati, OH, was inducted onto the Board of Governors of Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion (HUC-JIR) at its meeting on June 13 in New York.

Rabbi David Ellenson, HUC-JIR President, stated, “We are honored to welcome Gary Greenberg, a distinguished civic and leader of the Cincinnati community.  His legal expertise and extensive experience in professional and Jewish communal organizations will serve as a great source of assistance to the College-Institute. We look forward to his partnership in our shared mission to strengthen Reform Judaism and secure the Jewish future.”

Greenberg received his B.A. cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania (1974) and his J.D. magna cum laude from the University of Michigan Law School (1978).  He is a shareholder since 1984 in the firm of Denlinger, Rosenthal & Greenberg, LPA.  His practice is limited to the field of labor and employment law, representing management.  This includes representing employers in labor negotiations, administrative agency matters, arbitrations, and litigation. 

Greenberg is the President of the Jewish Community Relations Council of Cincinnati and a board member of the Jewish Federation of Cincinnati.  He is a member of the AIPAC Cincinnati Council and a past board member of Rockdale Temple and Jewish Family Service. 

A member of the Cincinnati Bar Association, Dayton Bar Association, Ohio State Bar Association, The Federalist Society, and Ohio Management Lawyers Assocation, he was the editor of Ohio Employment Law Letter (1990-2005).  

He and his wife, Linda Heldman Greenberg, are the parents of two children, Eric and Benjamin.
