Richard Scheiner Inducted onto Board of Governors of Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion

Richard Scheiner was inducted onto the Board of Governors of Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion at its meeting in Cincinnati on October 18, 2010.

Richard Scheiner retired as a shareholder of The Buckingham Research Group in April, 2007 following a career in institutional equity sales and building the infrastructure of the firm. He developed the e-mail communication formats used by most brokerage firms in communicating research ideas to clients. His account base included such firms as Fidelity Management and Research, Wellington Management, Vinik Asset management, Credit Suisse Asset Management, ING Asset Management and others. Prior to Buckingham, Scheiner was one of the partners buying Lynch, Jones and Ryan from Citicorp. He currently manages his own portfolios which include stocks, bonds, directly owned real estate, commodities and real estate, venture and distressed securities partnerships.

A 1980 graduate of the Columbia Business School, Scheiner earned an M.A. in Psychology from the Graduate Faculty of the New School for Social Research and is a Chartered Financial Analyst. He is a member of the New York Board of Overseers of Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion, is a former member of the Board of Trustees of Temple Shaaray Tefila in New York, and has served on several committees of the United Jewish Appeal/Federation of Jewish Philanthropies of Greater New York and several other charities. He lives in New York City and Cold Spring, NY, with his wife and son.
