Kalsman Institute’s ten week ASSAF: Judaism, Health and Healing for Clinicians program is coming to a close. Our Closing Retreat is fast approaching March 14-15 in Phoenix, Arizona. The ten-week course was designed for healthcare professionals hungry for exposure to learning on Judaism and health. At the Opening Retreat, group members shared on a deeply personal and emotional level about challenges in their professional lives. Online, participants gained a deeper understanding about Judaism, health, and healing from website’s texts and discussion. The final retreat will physically bring this close-knit community together once again to study, pray, talk, and renew.
At the conclusion of the opening retreat, one participant wrote the ASSAF retreat was: “A wonderful opportunity to learn how the wisdom of Judaism applies to healthcare and our own work as clinicians. It is a great chance to hear how other like-minded people think about important issues related to Judaism. It was a wonderful time to feel a sense of Jewish community.” ASSAF continues to fulfill its mission: to provide a strong entry point to physicians, therapists, nurses, and other clinicians eager to explore areas where they can infuse Judaism into daily life and clinical practice.
