SSM Choir in Concert at Temple Beth Emeth, Albany, NY

The School of Sacred Music Choir, under the direction of Artist-in-Residence Joyce Rosenzweig and Pedro d’Aquino, will be singing on Thursday, May 21, at 7:00 PM at Congregation Beth Emeth in Albany. The evening will pay tribute to Cantor Glenn Groper (SSM 1973), who is celebrating his twentieth year with the congregation. The SSM Choir, made up of cantorial students from the second and third years, will be singing liturgical settings by Bloch, Rossi, Weill, Glick, Shirona, and Solomon, as well as music in honor of Yom Yerushalyim by Applebaum, Amiran, Goldman, Braun, Shemer, Karen, Starer, and Osborne.

Founded in 1875, Hebrew Union College–Jewish Institute of Religion is the nation’s oldest institution of higher Jewish education and the academic, spiritual, and professional leadership development center of Reform Judaism.
