The Institute for Judaism and Sexual Orientation (www.huc.edu/ijsoprovided ribbons and printed materials on the Los Angeles campus to support individuals on National Coming Out Day!

National Coming Out Day began in 1988 to celebrate the Second National March on Washington for Gay and Lesbian Rights.  National Coming Out Day events raise awareness about LGBT concerns.  National Coming Out Day is a celebration of being one’s true self.  This is a great day of allies to come out as well and have conversations about LGBT equality.

Extensive resources can be found on the Jeff Herman Virtual Resource Center (http://elearning.huc.edu/jhvrc). (The site does require a one-time log-in).

Type “Coming Out” in the search box to begin!
