Active in Jewish communal organizations, Rabbi Angel is the founder and Honorary President of Sephardic House and past-President of the Rabbinical Council of America. Rabbi Angle has authored and edited 19 books., including The Orphaned Adult: Confronting the Death of a Parent, which won the 1988 Jewish Book Award for Jewish thought, Voices in Exile: A Study in Sephardic Intellectual History, and The Grand Religious Worldview of Rabbi Benzion Uziel.
