From MASA:

Important news for students and young adults who are preparing to spend a year or a semester in Israel - and for their families. The recent eruption of violence in Israel's north, has prompted a number of students and their families to ask about the fate of long-term Israel programs for the 2006-2007 academic year. MASA, your gateway to long term programs in Israel, is committed to assisting long-term program organizers to continue as usual. The MASA team is assessing the situation, and will continue to monitor and keep you informed of the trends that may affect the programs scheduled to open in the fall of 2006. To keep you informed, MASA has scheduled a special video web conference for Sunday, July 30, 7-9PM Israel time (12 noon-2PM EST, 5-7 PM UK time).

  • Meet Program Organizers
  • Hear personal stories from participants who are in Israel now
  • Get information on the current situation from public figures
  • Plus the opportunity for you to call in and speak with members of the MASA team who will answer your questions live -- online!
  • If you have a question you'd like to ask in advance, send it tomasainfo@masaisrael.org
  • If you'd like to appear online during the broadcast, send us your phone number and when we can call you during the webcast

Visit the website at www.masaisrael.org for information and details on how to participate. We pray for a quick resolution and speedy return to a more peaceful situation and secure future. MASA is a project of the Government of Israel and the Jewish Agency for Israel.
