Leaders of Jewish and Christian seminaries met at HUC-JIR/NY on Monday, March 10, 2008 to explore cooperative initiatives. Rabbi David Ellenson, Ph.D., President of HUC-JIR, hosted participants Cynthia Campbell, President, McCormick Theological Seminary, Katharine Henderson, Executive Vice President, Auburn Theological Seminary, Jay Rock, Coordinator of Interfaith Relations, Presbyterian Church (USA), Lee Hinson-Hasty, Coordinator for Theological Ed. & Seminary Relations, Presbyterian Church (USA), Phillip Butin, President, San Francisco Theological Seminary, Alan Cooper, Provost, Jewish Theological Seminary, Dean K. Thompson, President, Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary, Iain Torrance, President, Princeton Theological Seminary, Patricia K. Tull, A.B. Rhodes Professor of Old Testament, LPTS, and Barbara Wheeler, President, Auburn Theological Seminary.

The group focused discussions on the teaching of theology within their curricula, opportunities for interfaith dialogue among their students, the possibilities of faculty exchange, and ongoing consultation and planning.
