David Ellenson Rare Book Online Exhibit

Welcome to the online David Ellenson Rare Book Exhibit which brings together fine examples of manuscripts, books, bookplates, stamps, maps, and broadsides in digital format.

The Library expresses it thanks to Dr. Howard Sachar, Manager, Image Applications, and his entire staff at the IBM T.J. Watson Research Center, for helping to make the treasures of the Library available in numerous venues around the globe. Note also that the images are watermarked with the HUC-JIR seal.

The Library has prepared this exhibit of literary and graphic treasures exclusively from its own permanent collection.

The following pages contain a wide variety of items from our collection:

Americana
Bindings
Bookplates
Broadsides
Haggadah
Jews of Kaifeng
Manuscripts
Maps
Music
Sixteenth Century Hebrew Printing
Stamps

Please "click" on the smaller images to download a much larger version of the same material.

Additional images from the Library's collection are available at websites maintained by IBM Research and Temple Emanu-El, New York City.
