Where are the books?
Most books and journals received since 1967 are in the open stacks of the Klau Library building. These books are classified in the Library of Congress system.

Post 1900 books with the number *O and folio *O are shelved on the third floor of the Klau stacks.

Books with Library of Congress numbers A - B2900 and BS1225.3 - BS1226 are shelved in a Library storage area. Ask at the Circulation Desk.

PZ 1 PZ 4, Q, U and f/N - f/NX have been moved into storage. Ask at the circulation desk.

Books with Freidus call numbers are shelved in the East Wing and must be paged by the circulation department. Ask at the Circulation Desk.

Other items that are shelved in special locations and must be requested at the Circulation Desk include:

Special Collections; SC Box (items too small or delicate to put on the shelves); RBR (rare book room) including manuscript collections; unbound issues of journals ;recorded music (records, cassettes, and CDs); CD-ROMs
