Professor
Zafren is Director of Libraries, Emeritus, and Director, American
Jewish Periodical Center for all of HUC-JIR; and he is Professor Emeritus
of Jewish Bibliography at the College-Institute in Cincinnati. He
was educated at The Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore Hebrew College,
and the University of Michigan. His specialties are Jewish Bibliography
and the history of Hebrew printing.
