Dvora E. Weisberg, Ph.D.

Director, School of Rabbinic Studies;
Associate Professor of Rabbinical Literature
Dr. Dvora Weisberg is Director of the School of Rabbinical Studies and Associate Professor of Rabbinics. She received her B.A. at Brandeis University and her M.A. and Ph.D. at the Jewish Theological Seminary of America. Before coming to HUC, Dr. Weisberg taught at the College of William and Mary and the University of Pittsburgh. Dr. Weisberg is especially interested in gender issues in rabbinic texts. Her recent book focuses on levirate marriage and constructs of the family in rabbinic Judaism.
