Dalia Marx

Biography
Rabbi Dr. Dalia Marx was born in Jerusalem. She received her B.A. Summa cum Laude and her M.A. Magna cum Laude from Hebrew University. Marx is a graduate of the Israeli Rabbinic program at HUC-JIR. She spent her senior year of rabbinic studies in Cincinnati and was ordained there in 2003. Marx received her Ph.D. in Jewish Liturgy from the Hebrew University. Her dissertation deals with the early morning ritual in Jewish liturgy.
Marx is an associate professor of Liturgy and Midrash at the Jerusalem campus of HUC-JIR. She teaches in the "Year in Israel" program, the Israeli rabbinic program and in the MA education program. She also teaches in various academic and semi-academic institutions in Israel and Europe. She was elected a favorite lecturer of the year in 2005-6 in the department of Hebrew Literature at the Hebrew University. Marx spent two years (2007-9) as a guest professor at Potsdam University and Abraham Geiger Kolleg in Berlin.
Marx writes occasionally in the Israeli press and is engaged in creating and editing new liturgies and midrashim. She is married to Roly Zylbersztein and has three sons.
