Stanley F. Chyet

Rabbi Chyet is Professor of American Jewish History, HUC-JIR/Los Angeles. An alumnus of Brandeis University, he received his ordination from HUC-JIR in Cincinnati, where he also earned his doctorate. He was appointed to the faculty of HUC-JIR, Cincinnati, in 1960 and transferred to HUC-JIR, Los Angeles in 1976. His publications include work in American Jewish history and literature and translations of 20th century Israeli poetry.
